    BBC Breakfast

Apologies - indeed it does that ... it is just that there are now so many threads covering - or being taken over by - the horrors of LKA, that it tends to detract from several OPs as it's so emotive. Agreed that the SC077 update does improve LKA a tiny bit (only for me) plus one or two other...

    BBC Breakfast

Over to an MG5er ... ... and again, in LHD Europe, with an RHD car, it looks to the wrong side of the road, can't tell that they are in kph (despite having everything else set for European data) so gets in a total mess. Ugh!

    BBC Breakfast

I turn it off anyway (just like BBC Breakfast!) in pre-flight checks, as it's useless everywhere - but in France, I agree, totally redundant. Over there, I tend to leave on Google mapping via AA purely because it is a bit more accurate - so long as you look out carefully for all the odd 80, 30...

    Correct Tyre Pressures?

Have a look at this thread ... Damn TPMS 😮 and perhaps this post within the thread ...

EU MG4 (all variants) - Service campaign SC077 is out, improving lane assist performance

Yes; I went through everything I could find on mgevs when researching local servicing, including the above forum for Perkins and others nearby - but as I noted there, my comment was the first for two years (in that forum thread) - so it's not always well used ... but nonetheless still very...

EU MG4 (all variants) - Service campaign SC077 is out, improving lane assist performance

I honestly think some of these dealers need to be named and shamed, or at least taken to account on these forums. I'm not suggesting slander, and one always needs concrete evidence for complaints ... then 'the truth without' is only fair to others, who need to know who they might avoid. At the...

EU MG4 (all variants) - Service campaign SC077 is out, improving lane assist performance

Thank you! But oh dear ... only 50% - not even a pass mark. I've now sent them a message asking if the calibration was done too.

EU MG4 (all variants) - Service campaign SC077 is out, improving lane assist performance

Thank you. I will ask them; they've been very forthcoming so far. And from a PM I've received, apparently my car has had EPS and FDR (Final Drive Ratio?) updates so it sounds like it. Just need a bit more elaboration. I get so confused with all these horrid acronyms!

EU MG4 (all variants) - Service campaign SC077 is out, improving lane assist performance

I took mine in this morning to have the corrective support bar fitted to the lower guard, and the garage (Perkins, Rayne) said they wanted to install a further software update at the same time "to reduce the LKA impact". They had upgraded to R63 in December and, following my LKA moanings, they...

    MG4 – ESSEX SERVICING

A bit of a late update now, but the lower guard has only been deteriorating very slowly; however, as we are due to set off on a biannual long drive to SW France again in April, I called Perkins to take up their offer to fit the corrective support bar - apparently a 15 minute while-you-wait job...

    Charging across Europe

Indeed ... and after a brief glimpse at the 'Sweeps' - thank goodness for that! - and just as I'm trying to fine-tune our next trip down to SW France in early April / mid-May. Current problem is finding a really nice country 'Logis'-type hotel with good restaurant (most important) to replace...

    Charging across Europe

Bien compris, je crois! ... along with fritures perhaps? But then you must also have loved The Singing Nun (Soeur Sourire) with her 1960s 'Dominique-nique-nique-nique-nique-nique-nique-nique ... etc.' prudey load of old niquers! But enough of this perhaps? (OP EVsince2016 must be pulling out...

    Charging across Europe

Close, but I think you have to go a bit more obliquely into slang/colloquial French with 'Fine by me' or even 'Everything's groovy' (if you're as archaic as me!)

    Charging across Europe

This is all completely 'off-piste' from teh OP, but ... Good grief - I had completely forgotten that! (I do though much prefer Blondie of the era ). My very average French (and total lack of Belgian French) left me completely at the first line, so looking up a lyrics translation left me ... ugh...

Anyone use a Zappi with Zappi Scheduled charging

Yes @mikgle I've done the maths on all OE tariffs and, although a few pence cheaper for just six hours overnight, OIG simply doesn't add up with solar and an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) - particularly as my home EV charging is minimal, and we spend much of the warmer months abroad. Even if I...

Anyone use a Zappi with Zappi Scheduled charging

Just another thought ... Have you signed-up to any of the Givback or Myenergi schemes (ignoring Octoplus which is manually operated) as these can mess about with your battery charging and car control settings whilst in discharging mode - albeit only ocasionally, and should reset back to your...

    Charging across Europe

J.F.I., Connexion France has reported that: “Three major retailers in France are planning to install 5,000 electric car charging ports in their car parks. Supermarket Auchan, DIY store Leroy Merlin and sports retailer Decathlon, all managed by the Mulliez group, will install the stations at...
