You have to select remote cooling (or heating) via the iSmart app. Basically you are remotely turning on your HVAC - whether it cools or heats depends on the ambient temperature and your target temperature for the inside of the car. :)

FWIW I use a wireless AA adapter in the USB A socket, and have a 12V USB adapter in the "lighter" socket that has 2x USB A outlets (rated at 2A and 1A). If I need to charge my Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus then I simply plug it into the 2A outlet, otherwise it stays in my pocket. :)
