They can't even do car park management properly either. 🙄

    Funny signs, graffiti etc. ?

My former neighbour used to work at the central Child Benefit office in Washington, Tyne & Wear and came across some memorable names ... one such was Orson Cart :)

    use mg4 in summer

You have to select remote cooling (or heating) via the iSmart app. Basically you are remotely turning on your HVAC - whether it cools or heats depends on the ambient temperature and your target temperature for the inside of the car. :)

Should I push for a software update?

No - I've just been told by my dealer that this is what they do when requesting support/approval from MG UK.

    Battery Tender / Trickle Chargers

The 12V socket is isolated via a fuse and switch/relay (i.e. it turns off a wee while after the car is locked), so I'd assume that there's no direct connection to the battery

Should I push for a software update?

One obvious thing with 1100R21 ... there is no external temperature indication (as you've noted). In cold weather this could be a safety issue (use that angle) as you're unaware of how low the temperature has got. (You only get one "bong" when the temperature dips below 4°C ... if the...

Yes ... it's a service campaign though rather than a recall.

If your insurance company confirm no issue with fitting one then you're good to go. If they don't then it's your decision. Either way you'd need to inform them of the modification.

    MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

For the avoidance of doubt, it is a Section 75 claim you need to make with your credit card provider. When starting the process please make this point absolutely clear to the first (and every other subsequent) person you speak with at the card provider. (First line support's crib sheet likely...

Hastings YouDrive cancelled my insurance citing harsh braking & acceleration

That's different - your current policy was ending and the insurer declined to offer a new insurance contract, so answering No is correct. A cancellation is the insurer terminating a current policy, to which you must answer Yes when (not if) asked.

    Road tripping in the MG4

Bjorn uses a specific speed so that he can cross-compare all the cars whilst minimising the variables that apply for each journey. If he wanted a better efficiency then he'd use 100 km/h or less. :)

    Android 15 charging

FWIW I use a wireless AA adapter in the USB A socket, and have a 12V USB adapter in the "lighter" socket that has 2x USB A outlets (rated at 2A and 1A). If I need to charge my Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus then I simply plug it into the 2A outlet, otherwise it stays in my pocket. :)

    Android 15 charging

Are yours new phones with native A15 IOS18 etc.? I don't think the issue is the OS version - it's the power requirements of newer phones.
