Correct, I tested again today, and no regen is shown from the front motor in Sport or Super-Sport mode in the GT.
So the rear motor is used for regen exclusively.

I've driven both at Millbrook. The Trophy is good, but the GT has better traction and acceleration. The Trophy can feel slightly more lively (if that's what you like), whereas the GT feels planted under all conditions
