maintenance
The technical meaning of maintenance involves functional checks, servicing, repairing or replacing of necessary devices, equipment, machinery, building infrastructure, and supporting utilities in industrial, business, and residential installations. Over time, this has come to include multiple wordings that describe various cost-effective practices to keep equipment operational; these activities occur either before or after a failure.
So twice now I've gone on a 2 week holiday. When I return the car is dead. The 12V battery is completely dead.
I make sure I don't open the app and don't have any lights etc on. Surely this isn't right? AA guy says the battery is fine, it's just dead.
I know there has been a number of threads related to this subject, but is there a definitive way of achieving this; specifically:
How often should it be done?

In & out in 45 minutes, only issue noted was needing four new tyres. Currently at KwikFit (not my choice, lease company’s preferred partner).

Hi everyone,
I'm coming to the end of the PCP for my (71 reg) Dacia Sandero, which is the bi-fuel model. This really helps me keep costs down, as I do around 18k miles a year for my job. Sadly, it's getting much harder to get hold LPG where I live (and the price has doubled in three years)...
Hi all,
New member.
Partner has just bought a 2021 MG ZS. The car isn’t 3 years old until the end of next month, and has a couple of issues that we were expecting to be able to have fixed under warranty.
However, it now looks as though the car may be late on its service. Mileage is...
The second service is due end of May on my ZS. I have a pre-paid service plan, and was wondering if the dealer with who the plan is with will contact me to arrange the service, or will I have to ring them and get them to book it?
I know this has been covered before but I can't find the thread. Maybe I'm putting in the wrong search terms.
Anyway...

Hello,
Was wondering if anybody knows how.to change an indicator bulb in a MG ZS 2022 ??
Front drivers side has blown, needs changing and I can't find any help online on how to do this.
Any advice welcome!
In my opinion, MG presently sell cars on a model similar to Android phones. You get what you pay for, the car is designed to last for a set time, requiring minimal to zero support from the manufacturer, after which you throw it away.
When I purchased my MG5, the service options were limited...
A report back for info -mods - if this needs merging with other first service threads, that's fine with me.
First off, one reads the horror stories some folk on the forum have regarding dealerships. We must be very fortunate, as Dicksons in Inverness has been the model of professionalism on...
I have an EO Mini Pro charger fitted in Feb 2020. This ceased to function in Feb 2024 coincidentally at or about the same time that Juucenet/Enel x withdrew their software support. I have had to wait until now for an engineer to come and look at it (at my cost of £92.50 + VAT). They took one...
I got my lovely new ZS EV on the 1st March, just getting into the swing of it and I’ve broken my ankle. Unlikely to be driving it for a little while, is there anything I need to do or is it okay to sit on the drive looking pretty for a while?
Help! Facelift trophy model, 1 year 3 months old, front wipers stopped working entirely. Of course it's raining horribly. Turned off and on again and no change, left it off for half an hour to shut down entirely and no change. Anything I can do other than wait for the morning and call the...
We’re looking at buying a 18 month old MG4 with 7,000 miles on the clock from a non-MG dealer. The car hasn’t been serviced but the dealer is saying this isn’t due until 24 months. Does anyone know if this is correct? We’re mainly worried about the warranty being intact. Thanks in advance.
Does anyone else take everything out of the car before taking it in for a service?
My brother and friends tend to leave all the paraphernalia in their cars when they take theirs to be serviced or repaired whereas I remove everything apart from a cloth to wipe the windows. I use it as an excuse...
