    Looks familiar

Saw this picutre the other day and thought that looks familiar. When you start to look at the details you can see the differences and from the back nothing like an XPower but from this angle and in that colour... BYD Seal 06 GT

    Home Charging Solutions

Hi all We are expecting our X Power to be delivered on 2nd September. Still need to sort a charger out and wondering what people have gone for on here. I'm thinking untethered as it's a little neater. We will probably only need to charge the car once maybe twice a week if I maintain a heavy...

    Radio Aerial & Autotune

Hello all, quick question: Is there an actual aerial on the MG4 XPower? The sales blurb states 'Roof-Mounted Flexible Aerial' but I can't see one. The reason for the question is that the radio signal keeps cutting out on DAB (D1 National) and FM for no apparent reason. Also, DAB doesn't change...

    iSmart Update (iPhone)

Who has tried the latest version, just updated 2.0.7? This is massively improved from the barely usable previous versions with crappy UI, and is now worthy of V3.0. UI completely refreshed and faster response, digital keys maybe even worth trying! If you've not updated, do it now & report back...

    XPower Insurance Renewal Refused

Unbelievably, I am already having to look for car insurance. I've had the car very nearly 12 months and just received the reminder today telling me they aren't renewing my policy!!! I paid £598 last year with Hastings Direct. It was a 'distress' purchase, as I was sat on the dealer forecourt...

One Pedal Drive + Heavy Acceleration

I posted elsewhere on the forum (link below - post #4)) about some rather concerning behaviour when OPD is enabled. Car is now with MG for investigation, but wondered if anyone else with an XPOWER has experienced the same? In summary: 1. Enable OPD. 2. Accelerate hard from low speed for a...

Soon to own one, few questions

Hello I'm going to own the MG4 Xpower soon, I've just booked a reservation for one which would arrive next month in hunter green. This will be my first EV and from my test drives with the car I liked how simple it worked and how I could simply charge it at home. There are a couple of things I'd...

    MG4 Xpower times vs battery

Hi guys, I feel like I'm having issues with my Xpower and don't feel the performance is living up to the expectations. I've started to record some 0-60mph/100kph times and compare against battery levels. My expectations was that I would start losing performance at maybe 20% battery, but it seems...

    MG4 scheduled charging

Unable to schedule charging with our charge point (Pod Point) as the wifi signal is weak even with boosters. Set up in-car schedule and car did not charge when plugged in outside the time window which looked good. However in morning it hadn't charged which it should have done for 5 hours...

    Alcantara in back

Morning all! Quick question- do any of your XPowers have the alcantara/ suede in the back? More specifically around the door handle/ window switch/ anywhere under the windows? My 8 year old is convinced that the tester we took out did, but we definitely do not. Cheers!

    X Power First Service.

Warning! Might be (for some) a T.L.D.R. post, especially if you click on the links............. So I have dropped my car off with OC Davies Cardigan this morning, for its first service and rear camera issue which I have had from new. The date was agreed a few weeks ago when I told them that...

    Slowing myself down!

An odd question, but I'm trying to figure out the speed control system. According to the manual there is a mechanism for forcing the car to keep to the speed limit, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to turn it on. All the options on the screen seem to be on, but the car still...
