Navigation is an open access academic journal about navigation published by the Institute of Navigation in cooperation with HighWire Press.
Its editor-in-chief is Richard B. Langley;
its 2021 impact factor is 2.1.
The Journal Citation Reports categorizes the journal under aerospace engineering, remote sensing, and telecommunications.
The journal publishes original, peer-reviewed papers in an open access (OA) environment on all areas related to the art, science, and engineering of positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) covering land (including indoor use), sea, air, and space applications. PNT technologies of interest encompass navigation satellite systems (both global and regional); inertial navigation, electro-optical systems including LiDAR and imaging sensors; and radio-frequency ranging and timing systems, including those using signals of opportunity from communication systems and other non-traditional PNT sources. Papers about PNT algorithms and methods, such as for error characterization and mitigation, integrity analysis, PNT signal processing, and multi-sensor integration are welcome. The journal also accepts papers on non-traditional applications of PNT systems, including remote sensing of the Earth’s surface or atmosphere, as well as selected historical and survey articles.

    MG3 Hybrid +Navigation

    Hi. I’ve picked up my MG3 Trophy but I can’t get the navigation system to work properly. It’s looking as if it’s in night mode. I’ve tried to follow the instructions in the online handbook but with no success. Can anyone help please?

    Poor map configuration

    I was wondering if there is any update to the Map screen. I find it quite difficult when driving to see the road as it is a white road on a off white background. I'm used to the Peugeot screen where the road is black and easily seen. Ok when using the navigation it is blue so no problem.

    Bad satnav worse than no satnav

    Not for the first time. it sent me miles away from where I wanted to go "Cobbs Englefield" finds only one destination - the wrong one. It would have been better if it had not found any results. I had to use Google to get to the right place (late). MG4 2023 Trophy

    Sending destination to car from App

    I've set up destinations in the app and attempted to send them to the car using the parer aeroplane button. The app reprts "Sent" but I can't find it in the sat nav in the car. Am I missing something or is this another non functioning feature?

    Quick return to CarPlay?

    Only had my mg4 a couple of days. It’s an SE, no satnav, so I’m using CarPlay for that. If I select a function on the display eg change temperature, is there a way of going straight back to CarPlay screen, rather than Home then CarPlay press?

    Satnav Not Working

    When l try to switch the satnav on, I get an error message saying “you need to grant permission to the navigation app in system settings”. Does anyone know how to do this. I’ve played around with it but can’t work it out
