rear
In automotive design, an RR, or rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout places both the engine and drive wheels at the rear of the vehicle. In contrast to the RMR layout, the center of mass of the engine is between the rear axle and the rear bumper. Although very common in transit buses and coaches due to the elimination of the drive shaft with low-floor buses, this layout has become increasingly rare in passenger cars.
Hey guys.. is this normal?

I see a hole here and there's a visible bolt with little rust? And this thing open... Makes me think its going to rust very bad soon with rains.

I have a 3½ year old MG5. The rear window has started to blister in parts showing small round 'bubbles' over the window. Has any one else had this problem and would it be covered by the 7 year warranty? Advice would be appreciated.
Morning all
Third service yesterday - all good (97% SOH which i was quite pleased with) on 40,000 miles
but they did notice rear offside shock weeping - hopefully they will be fixing it under warranty, but wondered if anyone else had similar?
i'm glad i took it in a month before the three...
Anyone know how to mute the rear parking sensors on a 2021 MG ZS EV? When I have the bike rack on with a bike, the rear sensors think it's about to hit something, so constantly beep loudly. Makes reversing down a long driveway very painful.
My daughter has just bought a 21 reg ZS, in very nice nick and she's v happy with it.
However she says the car keeps thinking there's people in the back when there isn't anything there, and shows the seatbelt warning light (doesn't give alarm though).
Is that correct or is there something she...
Morning all,
I know most on here have gone for the trophy model so this is more for us SE owners. I couldn’t find anywhere if MG has tinted any of the rear windows from factory obviously the trophy has.
Does the car get warm in the sun? I was reading an an issue with an early model MG saying...
I understand rear seat belt warnings are for safety, but in my country, they're not legally required in the back. Could you please advise if there's a way to disable the warning when someone is sitting in the rear seats?
Does anyone know what this circled area on the back of the rear vision mirror of my Aussie MG4 Long Range 77 MY24 is?
My guess is some kind of sensor
I'm not sure if I should install my dashcam stuck onto the windshield in a place that could block this possible sensor, or it doesn't matter
Hi, my 73 plate MG ZS EV has suddenly had a message pop up on the rear camera screen saying Radar System Failed. It only comes up when the car is put into reverse and drives absolutely fine otherwise. Parking sensors and rear camera seem to work ok as well and I cannot see any damage anywhere...
I have my first EV, an MGZS EV Luxury extended range 2023 - France: generally I think it's great !
Just wondered if anyone has had the same problem with uneven rear tyre wear on their ZS EV ?
Last week I took it in for its first service : 24000 Km 10months from new.
The mechanic reported...
Hi, a bit of strange one but would be interested to know if anybody has any ideas to resolve...other than to get another dashcam!
When starting the car (73 plate ZS SE Long Range) the dash cam boots but does not auto start the recording.
If I unplug and re plug in cam all starts auto recording...
If I put the car in to reverse (without the front wipers being on) then the button for the rear wiper does not work at all (irrespective of the state of the front wiper), as soon as I switch back to drive the rear wiper button will work again.
I've not double checked this but I'm pretty sure if...
Has anyone had their rear disks looking like the attachment? I have taken it to the dealers and only then did I notice that their test model was the same. Engineer checked and said couldn't find anything wrong.
I'm booked this Thursday at the local Salisbury dealer to investigate it however I'd appreciate any hints on what could cause this (I suspect some suspension bits).
The picture below shows my test set up - I roll out of the driveway and then I drive with the left wheel on the kerb.
I've removed...
