Had HS PHEV trophy 2024 model now for a couple of weeks and I am keen to understand the energy consumption from both EV and ICE sources.
Apart from the occasional deep pedal press that activates the ICE all journeys have been short and the display is showing EV mode.

Topped up petrol to full the day I got the car and again today 10litres so has used that in 2 weeks. I’d like to know a bit more about how the ICE is being used by the car for various things. I understand that the car has an electric heater so assume this is being used to heat the car and is powered by the main battery. Is this the case?

I have used ismart mg app to heat up the car while not plugged in a few times so is it this that is starting the ICE and consuming fuel? (slight hum from bonnet, but not an engine sound).

90% of journeys are under 30 miles so am interested other users experiences with petrol consumption.

Well the old HS PHEV I had used petrol to heat the car and defrost it. In the new one you have the electric heater and the engine will not be charging the HV battery so it comes down to right foot.
The one thing I learned from driving my old HS is that I should have gone straight to EV but at the time the ZS range was only about 150 miles in the summer and less in the winter.

I have a hs phev. It's currently 3,300 km. My fuel consumption is as seen in the picture. 75% long distance and high performance use. I charge it once a week at home. Even if I run the heater at the highest or lowest temperature, the gasoline engine doesn't start. I think there is a heat pump in the car, but it's very inefficient and consumes the battery too much. The gasoline engine starts when it exceeds 120 km/h. The gasoline engine starts during sudden acceleration (if you press the gas pedal all the way). If you pay attention, you can see a consumption of 5.0/lt.

I believe you do not have a heat pump and have electric heater as that’s what the reviews on YouTube say.
