How many times do you have to apply the 10mm remove negative lead fix to make you MG ZS starting working like a proper car again.
I've had
parked car, come back - nothing works. 10mm spanner, everything works.
First time this happened in 2023 I called the breakdown, the chap did some basics ODB test, then opened bonnet, disconnected batter neg lead and went to make a cup of tea. 10 mins later reconnected and everything worked.
After pushing the home button and resetting the spanner is my most common fix.

1 More than once a week
2 more than once a month
3 Occasionally

4 Never

Haven't got my MG yet but I own a 2022 Morgan & it has done that. The Morgan dealer mechanic said it is quite common with the BMW ECU / BCU & engine.
I found one lead wasn't totally tight so with the -ve off I would tighten the +ve.

I have an MG4 not a ZS, but ... I've never needed to touch the 12V battery terminals. 🤷‍♂️
Thanks, someone else said their MG4 has never done it either.

I have an MG5, pre-facelift, but I've never needed to remove the 12v battery negative lead.
It seems to only be the ZS 2021/2022 models

I have used the 10mm 5-6 times on my MG5 SR Excite. Either to clear the Radio Module Disconnected fault or after getting bricked on a CPS charger.

I think twice in the ZS. I can’t think I needed it over the three years / 33000 miles in the brilliant five. A month or so / 1500 miles in the Citroen e Berlingo and no faults.

I don't know if this 10mm spanner fix only applies to the MG ZS @mrg9999 , but this poll doesn't, there are already several votes from other MG model owners, so unfortunately the result won't represent the MG ZS problem.
