12v dead battery and wife locked in the car! - Welcome home!!

Mine is kept under the drivers seat at all times.
Yes - Like everything else, I guess some element of risk is possible, but remember the car is sitting on a traction battery that has MUCH more capacity than a small 12 volt booster pack !.
You carry your phone in the car and even a tablet or lap top, I mean how far to you go frankly ?????.
What charging pack do you have? would you recommend?

Personally I have one of the popular in American “Halo” branded units myself.
The Halo Bolt model we have, also has a tyre inflation pump built into it.
I have included a link below for a Halo unit without the tyre inflation pump that is currently on offer.
There are many units on the market that are fine for jumping an EV but I would recommend going for a unit with a larger capacity that will be also capable of boosting a ICE vehicle.
The Noco units are very popular also.

I heard about an AA van stationed at Heathrow or somewhere whose job was to rescue returning travellers whose cars wouldn't start. Mostly flat batteries. It must happen with monotonous regularity to ICE cars too.

When I went on holiday I was in a car park some distance and a courtesy bus ride from the airport, and I got back at three in the morning. I'm pretty glad Caliban woke up and said "Hello Mum, did you have a nice time?" without any funny business.

Its been raining here on and off for a few days with warmer and colder days, I was under the bonnet to adjust the headlights during a break in the weather and I noticed both battery terminals and battery top were quite wet with condensation , not a problem confined to MG but perhaps a possible leakage path for the voltage , a quick clean and WD40 solved the problem. The battery voltage reported in the car was fine and no problems. In addition rain had spattered in past the bonnet and the inner wings and fusebox top were wet.
