2021 MG5 long range exclusive with worn Start button label - how do I take it off to fit Ali-Express-supplied new one?

My START STOP button is grotty!

I bought replacements from Ali-Express, see below. My car is blue but I fancy the red button with a red or blue trim. They look like printed aluminium.

Has anyone taken off the old one? Does the START STOP button simply pull out somehow?

Have a look at the new one to see how it fits, fit it and then report back

It looks like the holes for the status led optics are a slightly different shape to the oem, so I'd guess these are stick on covers rather than a true replacement. They look cool though. I'll look forward to a fitted photo.

My wild guess is that the ring is threaded. So you'd carefully rotate the ring without damaging it. That could be difficult if it's tight.

I've done it! I know, it should be 1 degree anti-clockwise, but it stuck before I could rotate it ?

The ring may be threaded but I was unable to shift it. I couldn't get to the back of the switch or remove the plastic section of the dashboard, so sticking new button cap and ring on top worked well!
