You don’t seem to be an experienced EV owner / driver because you don’t know the difference between kW and kWh.The readings are taken from the app, and it looks right by how much charge is put in the battery, I had a leaf for 4 years so I hope I know what to expect
Oh dear. You don’t seem to be an experienced EV owner / driver because you don’t know the difference between kW and kWh.
The first one [kW] is [charging] power and the other one [kWh] is the amount of energy (either received or consumed).
After you have tried the rapid, can I suggest that you also try a fast with a tethered type 2 cable. This would then eliminate your type 2 cable, in case that is the problem.Had the car 3 weeks, never gone above 3.5 kwhr, gonna try a rapid tomorrow on a 120 instalvolt then a local 7kw post others find reliable. Fingers crossed ?, Been driving EV 4.5 years now some may think I don't know what I am on about (dealer's) no offense intended to anyone from a Sheffield lad
Thank you, Was just considering deleting this app, 4 .5 years leaf 24 ownership I consider myself someone who knows what to expect from an EV charge. I usually don't post alot because someone always wants to check the dot's and t's are in the right place.Oh dear.
Although this maybe factually correct, I think we still understand the members problem and feel both his pain and frustration with his new car.
He needs some help, not a lesson in EV correctness to be fair.
Give the guy a break hey ! ?.
Worth a try ????.After you have tried the rapid, can I suggest that you also try a fast with a tethered type 2 cable. This would then eliminate your type 2 cable, in case that is the problem.
Please don't do that !.Thank you, Was just considering deleting this app, 4 .5 years leaf 24 ownership I consider myself someone who knows what to expect from an EV charge. I usually don't post alot because someone always wants to check the dot's and t's are in the right place.
I to struggle and find it hard to get my point across thanks to bad dyslexia but it helps me think outside the box and it's been successful for me but i do get frustrated trying some times but this forum have made it a bit easier for me and the little microphone on the keyboard think if it was not for that I would not try to postThank you, Was just considering deleting this app, 4 .5 years leaf 24 ownership I consider myself someone who knows what to expect from an EV charge. It does not come over that way at all, I have to say.I to struggle and find it hard to get my point across thanks to bad dyslexia but it helps me think outside the box and it's been successful for me but i do get frustrated trying some times but this forum have made it a bit easier for me and the little microphone on the keyboard think if it was not for that I would not try to post
I agree that this medium is intended primarily for mutual assistance and the transfer of experience.Oh dear.

Correct - Enough said !.I agree that this medium is intended primarily for mutual assistance and the transfer of experience.
It bypasses the on-board charger. The inverter drives the motor. On most cars including the MG, these are separate units. It bypasses the inverter when using a D/C rapid.
Thanks for clarifying that !.It bypasses the on-board charger. The inverter drives the motor. On most cars including the MG, these are separate units.
Yes. Any time that the contactors are closed, the DC-DC kicks in and tops up the auxiliary battery. What happens when charging from a DC rapid unit ???.
Is the 12 volt battery being charged ????.
