Hello! I just got the 2024 PHEV (the previous shape) a month back and have a few questions. I have very fondly read through the questions on this forum and appreciate the discussions.

So I noticed that when driving in hybrid mode and the car makes the switch from motor to the engine at about 40km/hr, the energy flow graphic for the most part shows both engine and the motor driving the wheels together but the hybrid info screen shows current in the negatives like somewhere in the -10 to -20 A range. That probably means that current is flowing in the reverse direction and that the battery is being charged. That does not make sense to me. I would have expected the current to still be positive like it is when only the motor is driving the wheels but at a smaller value. That would have meant that the motor is doing some of the driving and assisting the engine eventually improving MPG. Anyone else noticed that or have any explanations?

Another thing I have felt that the regen is not strong enough on this. I still have to use the brake pedal a lot. We don't have the ability to set the regen level in the PHEV we get here. Is there any way to ask MG to increase it or any other work arounds?

I am taking it on a longer trip for the first time and am just trying to figure out what to expect at highway speeds over like 400km. From what people have been saying on this forum, they typically get somewhere in the 40-50 MPG. My friend has a regular 1.5T ICE HS and that typically gives like 26-30 MPG (US) at speeds of 120km/hr. If the battery is charged and the motor is indeed assisting the engine, I would expect more than 40 for the PHEV. Lets see what I get. Any recommendations are welcome.
