good afternoon all,

Just after a bit of advice have recently purchased a new mg5 and after getting home when checking the car over noticed the tyres were manufactured 31st week of 2020.

I have raised this with the dealers and not had a reply yet and when contacting MG UK they don’t seem to have any idea but coming back with we will supply tyres that are all the same make/model and ensure that they have no miles on them.

Surely they can’t provide a new car with tyres over 4 years old?

Any ideas on what I can do?

Cheers in advance.

Ask for new tyres. Shelf life of tyres is about 5 years. So you've got a very good case. But then again that don't mean owt to MG. But Defo worth an ask, and don't be fobbed off. Good luck. ??

Do they look worn or new?
They look new.

Have asked and they have said they are going to check with MG UK but not holding out much hope.

Anyone know if there are any laws relating to how old tyres can be on a new vehicle?
