A couple of Chinese reviews of the Euro-spec MG4

Thanks to another Facebook group I wanted to share this overview of the MG4…

A couple of Chinese reviews of the Euro-spec MG4 have appeared, so this has been summarised below:-

Ride and handling

• "Brisk and Agile sums up the MG4
• Acceleration response and power maybe too much for a small car
• Handling sporty. Can have lots of fun (including drifting)
• Body composure is stable
• Easy to drive in City
• Small steering wheel and adaptive power steering makes car easy and responsive
• 5 Driving modes and 3 energy recovery modes"

Practicality
"- Rear seat not too small, sitting position is stretched and relaxed

• Headroom in front and rear is decent (reviewer is 180cm/6ft)
• Very slight hump in rear floor
• Rear Boot is okay in size, seats fold almost flat
• Lots of storage spaces"

Design
"- Design work is a joint development between British and Chinese designers

• Interior is simple and clear
• outside sporty and interesting "

I do not see a cruise control shaft on the steering column - which is a good thing.

I’d be interested to know (or see) the size of the boot when the base is lowered on the TrophyLR. Also, no news on a tow bar for bikes at the moment.

Hoping to see one at the motor show in a couple of weeks!

yes a tow bar for bikes for me is probably a little bit of a must unless I also keep my MG5.

Drifting and too much power sounds fun lol Really nice to know the rear seats fold nearly flat unlike the MG5

I think the seat colour options for the uk might remain black faux leather/mixed with cloth or full cloth for lowest spec 51kWh car. The Trophy AWD sports version that it’s been spotted in China if it comes to the UK might have the coloured seats?
