I’ve made the move to trade up my SR Excite for a nearly new SE LR, I’ve tried searching on here but can’t find any hits to answer my question. Am I right in thinking that all MGs have automatic AA cover as long as they are in first year or serviced every year? So I don’t need to worry about sorting the cover

Cover is renewed when you have an MG service but only if the dealer processes the paperwork so you'd best check with the AA to confirm you are covered.

Correct.

Some folk think that it's a good idea to speak to the AA and check.

Some have been told that the covers in place after a service only to find that it wasn't.

Thanks I’ll check with the AA, every service with the Excite they renewed it in front of me as part of the paperwork

To be honest to he whole servicing issue is its a con a good Mot covers more and i have a full warranty because my VAT registered garage checks the and adds 15 mins extra to check fluids and write tyre depth and brake pads wear.

There's nothing else that needs to be done, until it needs a fuild refresh and MG don't even test the battery.

£80 with MOT when you see what's checked its a rip off 80% is MOT. First two years before MOT is cheap but post MOT just get a good VAT garage to do it

I had my PFL MG5 booked for 3 y service incl MOT for £150 and I didn't think that to bad. Not compared to an ICE car anyway. But I got rid before the service.
