Daughter is just buying a second hand MG ZS.

Does that come with the free AA membership when MG serviced?

If so, and the car has had a non-MG service and she gets it MG serviced will the MG cover be re-instated?

To qualify for free renewal of the full MG Assistance ( supported by the A.A. ) it is required to under go an annual service conducted by a main MG dealership.
If carried out by a third party, this will not be renewed.
If you have received a service by a third party, you will need to speak to a main agent to ask them if they are able to provide the cover, if you have the car serviced by them.
Given that you are receiving FULL break down cover in the price of the service, it makes no sense in going to a third party anyway TBH.

Yes, I realise that ideally the car needs to have full MG history but buying 2nd hand that can't be guaranteed, though we can make that a search parameter (if only it was reliably disclosed in the ads!!!)

I bought second hand with dodgy service - all good so far. AA extended after service with MG. Need to check whether 7 years warranty still applies ...

But - is she buying from MG approved or privately? Private sale is always a bit ... ahem ... questionable ..

MG customer services or any MG garage can check for service record, it's all online and the seller must have some paperwork.

Is she buying Mk1 or Mk2 (2022-on) model? There are a few threads on this forum on teh subject, check them out and remember - no rush to buy.

That's useful, thanks. It'll be from a dealer but not likely to be an MG dealership - there is much more choice elsewhere
