Hi all. Has anybody managed to find a set of 4 mud flaps for the MG ZS Hybrid+ ?
There are universal sets, sets for earlier ZS models, or other MG SUV’s etc models.
But there is no real way to find out if they will fit, without drilling holes.

SO far I have found zero accessories specifically for the new ZS Hybrid, only old gen or universal stuff like key covers.
Online not even LHD floor mats, only RHD (I did get nice fabric ones from the dealer, but wouldn't have minded some more rugged rubber ones for winter).
Whilst it is normal for some/many accessories not being available from start - and the ZS Hybrid was launched very quickly (like here is the new model and you can receive it in 2 weeks), some might even say prematurely - another reason might be that AFAIK it is not on sale in its homeland China, which usually guarantees a ton of stuff available on Ali Express etc.

I guess we will need a little (more) patience or some official stuff from dealerships.

I was informed by main dealer they would not be producing any mudflaps for this model. Can anyone tell me on my dashboard i have a number surrounded by arrows with the number 2 inside that has not changed since purchase in December is this correct.

Regenerative braking level. I don’t own the vehicle but from test drive memory, you can choose 3 levels.

No help from MG UK, so dealerships have no idea, and their response to customers is to say “no mud flaps”. Which sounds plausible, and stops customers from pestering.
Regarding ‘number 2’, it’s the level of power harvesting I.e. When you take your foot off the accelerator, the generator feeds power to the battery which slows the car.
The software displays level 2 on start up, but this can be changed to level 1 2 or 3, I use level 3 which proves one peddle (accelerator) driving, for me
If MG provided a useable on line manual you could use that to discover a whole new world of motoring, as they haven’t you will have to spend time in the car working out how to use all the goodies.
A word of warning doing this will drain the 12v battery, in the boot, the engine will then have to run to recharge it.

That is regenerative mode 2 you are,you can adjust that between 1-3 level depending on what level of regen that you want.I have found that normal mode and regen 2 is by far the best settings.

Check out some videos on YouTube about regenerative braking and how to drive a hybrid car for maximum efficiency. Generally, the basic concept is the same regardless of manufacturer. The higher the number, the harder the regenerative braking level and the more energy will be put back into the battery. Setting high level regenerative braking is ideal in stop and start traffic and is where you will reap the most gains from the hybrid system. On a motorway, if your driving is going to be a constant 70mph, then there’s no advantage setting regenerative braking high.
So if your doing lots of urban start stop driving I suggest using 2 or 3.
The other advantage of regenerative braking is that you’re not employing your brake pads to slow the car. The brake pads are employed when the car is moving below 10mph or when hard braking is required in an emergency. This will save wear to your brake pads. You’ll notice that your alloys don’t get covered in brake pad dust! Saves you cleaning and extremely good for the environment.
I had a Toyota hybrid as a loan car for a couple of weeks and it took me those two weeks to get the most of it consumption wise. But as you get to understand your cars hybrid characteristics… you’ll see mpg consumption go from 40 to 50 to 60.
You’ll also see improvements once bloody February is out the way!
It’s also worth noting that some cars (not sure about MG ZS +) have an auto regenerative braking mode. They uses the radar or camera or combination of both to determine distance of car in front and apply regenerative braking accordingly. Kona has it but it is a slightly hidden feature. I think some Toyotas have it as well.

Yeah, considering it’s the main feature of hybrid car, you’d expect more than one short paragraph dedicated to regenerative braking? The pdf manual I’ve seen calls it energy regeneration and that’s about all the information it gives! If you’re new to hybrids … not very useful!
