I've rarely had the opportunity (or motivation) to use ACC but a recent longish trip on fairly fast straightish highways seemed like a good time to try it again. Sadly, despite an OTA firmware update and a 20,000 km service earlier this year I found that it seems incapable of the kind of progressive gentle speed control needed to comfortably maintain anything like a constant distance from the vehicle in front, being inclined to brake too aggressively and then have to catch up. I have regen set to 3 and manual distance control in almost all situations except unexpected or emergency braking is simple (and actually rather satisfying in a geeky kind of way when I get it spot on) so I'd rather hoped that ACC with its camera, sensor, Lidar, Radar etc. plus, I assume, a direct link to regen would do a much better job.
I'd be interested to hear how other MG4 drivers get on with it and, since I haven't experienced any current vehicles with ACC, how does MG's stack up?
By the way, TJA is out of the question here in Thailand because of the hundreds of motorbikes that weave through the traffic, Jammed or not!
