I’ve had my HS Exclusive PHEV for coming up to three trouble free years.
My electric supplier has been Octopus for 10 or more years and I use a ROLEC charger each night.
I was on a deal that included Octopus GO but that was changed to ‘Octopus Loyal 12 months’ where the charges are much higher. I have sought advice from Octopus on which deal based on what they can see on my account they would recommend but they have failed to come back to me this time with any suggestion.
Would any member of this Forum recommend a good supplier and their deal please.

I have just been moved from Shell to Octopus so I now on the Go charging with the granny charger and can not see any reason to fit a wall box and move to a different tariff because the car is such a slow charger and low battery capacity. My cost each hour for charging and back ground power use is 11p.

Thanks for your prompt reply Jto.
I presume your deal with Octopus includes not just GO but also your household electricity. What is the name of their package please?

If you were on Go then that should have rolled over. What was the reason for going onto a Loyal 12 month tariff?

As far as I know there is octopus GO for none supported chargers so not sure why you’d be put on a different one.

Due to some fun at the beginning a swap to octopus wasn’t a goer so had a load of malarkey to go with BG - it pains me to say it but their ev tariff is a better deal than octopus none intelligent go (because their CS and billing is trash). 5hours a night and with lower peak and off peak for me. EON offer a full 7hours off peak but their peak rate is higher so doesn’t work out so well. The bonus with the latter two is they are fixed for 12 months. Octopus isn’t.

Maybe a simple case of signing Upto go for you again ?

I use Octopus Go and a granny charger. Get all my 200 miles a week by doing that. They have just told me my rate is going down to 8.5p and they are adding an additional hour each night so will now get 5 hours at the lower rate.

British Gas is good, as you get midnight to 5am for 7.4p per kwh, with the rest around 27p. You can also take advantage of Peaksave on a Sunday afternoon for half price electricity.

I cannot get on any of their EV tariffs , I am on Agile
I have an MG4 with Rolec charger Octopus recognise neither
This week on Agile I put 20 kW in at a cost of 27p
I didn't realise until this latest bill that they even calculate your cost per kW for the latest month mine was calculated at 14p per kW
If you watch Agile carefully you can even beat the Intelligent option of 7p, but to be fair at least you are guaranteed that rate

You can get an EV tariff with any EV but it will be Go at 8.5p/kWh.
You need a compatible car or EVSE to get onto IOG at 7p/kWh.

Thanks for that
Currently only charging sporadically so watching the agile tariff,it suits my style I reckon and is effective for me
