Received a reply to my email from MG as below:

I can understand that if the heated rear screen is damaged by the tinted window installers then it is quite understandable that the warranty would not cover that.
But I cannot see why adding tint film to the windows could lead to no cover of the mechanical parts within the door that were never touched.
I guess it would be a case of arguing the relevant issue. But I would hope common sense would play a part!
So, if someone changed the wheels that could lead to no cover for the suspension and drive train.........
