Ambient Lighting

Based on another thread, but I've seen some lovely under dash lighting installed (some from the USB ports and one hardwired).

I'm trying to get some driver passenger under dash and rear under seat orange ambient lights which glow when the car is unlocked or the door is opened. I'd like them to turn off again when the door is closed if possible?

I appreciate the simplest would be to wire into a switched live (if we can find one, but probably piggybacking the USB fuse), I'm assuming it would be too much to have them on all the time whilst driving?

I'd be interested to hear if this is possible or any views on it?

Interior lighting at night

What sort of ambient lighting does the interior have? I think I’ve seen the steering wheel buttons light up pale blue, is that right? Anyone got any photos!?
