Received an email from MG Chiswick to say they are closing on 7 April 2025
Seriously :-( that was my go to dealer.Received an email from MG Chiswick to say they are closing on 7 April 2025
Oh that’s interesting. Many thanks. If they continue to be authorised and official MG service agents why on earth did they not include that info in their email to customers?Spoke to my sales person who sadly confirmed no more MG sales. They will continue to do MG services though which is good.
To be honest I didn't go in to that level of detail. My car is not due its first service until next year. But I will be sure to double check this.Did the salesperson say official MG service agents or just that they will continue to service MG cars. My local village garage will service my MG and use MG parts but it doesn't mean he can access MG service records to update them and add another years breakdown cover or do software updates.
Personally I doubt SAIC would kill off the MG brand name for exports to the UK - it is too valuable for their sales over here.MGs performance in China does indicate that the brand is on its way out, sorry to say.
Seems unlikely seeing as their introducing new models at the moment . Probably won't sell much more in the US thoughPersonally I doubt SAIC would kill off the MG brand name for exports to the UK - it is too valuable for their sales over here.
