Thank you. I have.I think that regardless of the route that you choose to get into an MG4 there are some common and Justified concerns to consider.
Are you going to be spending a lot of time taking your car back for frustrating rectification work?
Will MG look after you as a customer as they should?
When faults occur will they be swiftly and effectively rectified?
Is the overall quality of the MG4 such that it will be reliable over the time that you use it for, or will you constantly be taking it back for work to be completed?
Do you have sufficient confidence that your ownership experience will be satisfactory and meet your expectations?
I’m sure that there are more.
I’ll leave you to decide on the answers based on your opinions.
You have ordered the identical car i have. Ordered 19th nov and expected in two weeks also….Hi
I'm new to this forum as from today. Drive a Nissan Leaf N-Connecta at the moment and put a deposit down in late November for a Red SE LR. Dealer called this morning and said the car will be ready in two weeks looking at there computer system that's up and running. Just to say cannot wait to own a MG4
I ordered an SE Sr from octopus ev on salary sacrifice, was told back then it would be late march due to the color ( Holborn blue), I've not heard anything else so fingers crossed. I did have my charger fitted by them 3 weeks ago so they must be confident.Hi all,
I ordered a Trophy in early December through Tusker (work Salary Sacrifice scheme) and started with late March as my estimated delivery date. That then changed to late April midway through December. I was just wondering if anyone who also ordered around that time has any further details on their order progress? As it’s all done through Tusker, I don’t have any direct contact with an MG dealer, so am on the lookout for any helpful info!
Obviously I know the ordering system has been down, and hopefully there’ll be more info coming soon, but it would be good to hear what people know!
Many thanks,
Daniel
I'd be ringing around other dealers or going elsewhere, would not be happy waiting that length of time.I ordered on the 1st October (Red Trophy). Chased the dealer for the first time since December. Car still not built and are saying it will be the summer before it turns up!
You mean your dealer hasn't contacted you or they don't know when it is coming?Ordered in oct/nov time Camden grey trophy still hasn’t arrived and still no updates. Anyone else had any other info
If you want one quickly you need to buy from stock and cancel your build to order.I would be interested to hear if anyone has ordered a red trophy after the 17th of November through Tusker and have either got their car or have a expected delivery date that they think will be met?
I have just spoken to Perry’s who are the fleet dealer dealing with the Tusker car for my wife and Maxine (who was very helpful and eager to help incidentally) called MG to get an update and they are still saying no build slot even allocated and the once built it’s 6 weeks at sea.. surely they must know in advance the build slots so I’m guessing this could mean it’s months until it even thinks about driving off the ship in the UK..
My wife is not going to be happy
Tusker had originally given a early Jan delivery which quickly changed to late Feb and recently changed to mid March, but now seems to have changed to how long is a piece of string.
I don’t know whether talking to Tusker is worth the time as if they aren’t being built, they aren’t being built.
But it would be interesting if a Tusker customer had received their red trophy and especially if it was ordered after the 17th of Nov. I just don’t know how they allocate the cars as they come in, to the person who moans the most or by order date etc
Sort of wish I had kept a constant dialog once a month to ring a bell if one did turn up.
Also if it’s coming from Perry Fleet would a Perry dealership car buyer take precedence over a locked in for no choice Tusker lease ?
Aaahhhhh I remember when buying cars was a pleasant experience.
I have but unfortunately, my part ex in October (Mini Level 3 Electric 14k miles) has gone from an agreed trade in of £28k to £17k so I don’t think I can even change it now.I'd be ringing around other dealers or going elsewhere, would not be happy waiting that length of time.
There are numerous examples of people waiting under 16 weeks now.
Wow, what's the reason for the massive drop?I have but unfortunately, my part ex in October (Mini Level 3 Electric 14k miles) has gone from an agreed trade in of £28k to £17k so I don’t think I can even change it now.
The backside has fallen out of used EVs. Tesla model 3s, BMW i3 have all dropped hugely. I think there’s been an element of them being artificial inflated by lack of new vehicles but that’s not an issue now with the part shortages easing. Gutted as a need a vehicle with more range and the MG ticked all the boxes.Wow, what's the reason for the massive drop?
Understood. Still seems like an excessive drop for your mini. Bad luck. The backside has fallen out of used EVs. Tesla model 3s, BMW i3 have all dropped hugely. Yeh, I’m gutted. We Buy Any Car offering £14k?. Best of luck with your new car Saturday!Understood. Still seems like an excessive drop for your mini. Bad luck.
Must be more than that.... I'd avoid them, don't give a fair price.Yeh, I’m gutted. We Buy Any Car offering £14k?. Best of luck with your new car Saturday!
Yeh, Motorway about £17.5 and Autotrader saying a bit more. I’ll see where I am if and when my original order turns up. Either I’ll have a bit more money in my car or it will be worthless?. Also, MG Redditch have agreed to honour last years price (before they went up a grand).Must be more than that.... I'd avoid them, don't give a fair price.
There is no way they are honouring the original px price. Most purchase contracts have a time limit in the t+c s on the backI have but unfortunately, my part ex in October (Mini Level 3 Electric 14k miles) has gone from an agreed trade in of £28k to £17k so I don’t think I can even change it now.
Yeh, I knew this at the time and don’t blame MG for the price dropping. Unfortunately, MG couldn’t get me into a 4 quickly enough. There is no way they are honouring the original px price. Most purchase contracts have a time limit in the t+c s on the back
