Any software updates I should know about?

I have had my pre-facelift MG5 for 12 months now, and the lease company (salary sacrifice through my work, they use Zenith) are arranging for the first service to be performed. Despite me telling them about it they don't seem able to arrange a service with the local MG garage in Aberdeen, so have set me up with a Kwik-Fit service. I'd like to complain and demand that they use a main dealer instead - is there any technical justification for this? I was thinking that there might be software updates for example that I would miss out on?

Hi, when mine was in the other day they said MG don't do updates unless there is a problem with something.
If MG do the service you get another year of free AA cover.

Tell them servicing i (usually) much cheaper with MG too. Seem to range between about £40 - £80. I'm not sure Kwik Fit's tills do anything under £100
