For the last 4 days or more the app fails to "connect" on my Trophy LR.
This is very frustrating.
Car is in the open air.

Yeah, i had this also and has reported it to MG.

After 2 weeks i gave up and tried the good old "Disconnect 12V battery for 10 minutes" and after i reconnected it, the app started working again. (Did not want to do this earlier, as maybe they would need to connect to the car to do some diagnostic, but after 2 weeks i decided that if they had not gotten the data they needed, they were probably not going to.)

The app was partially working for me though...

Partially = Anything related to battery SOC, remote control and GPS position not working, but if i used the APP to make a satnav route and uploaded it, it would be sent to the satnav just fine.

Try disconnecting one of the terminals on the 12V battery for 10 minutes.

Thanks, it appears to be a sledge hammer to crack a wallnut. But it often works with computers!

Had the same problem when I first had the car. Suddenly started working again after 4 days.
One thing you could try is
Uninstall and reinstall the app.

Yeah, would be nice if they atleast had some "cold boot" button in the infotainment, that would do a full reboot of the modules affected. The "press the home button until the screen goes black" method did not work.

Either because it is in reality, only a warm-boot or because the problem was in a seperate module that does not get rebooted with the home button trick

Well I disconnected the 12v battery and all good. Thanks . There must be a fuse that you can pull to have the same "reset" action.
