I have Car Scanner running on iOS (iPhone) and using CarPlay I can see dashboards with sensor readings as I go.
This morning I planned to pop to the local grocery store to buy some food and rapid charge to 80%.
It was 5°C outside but the battery pack was between 9.5°C and 11°C.
I switched the pre-heater on and I could see the battery coolant temperature rising rapidly to 40°C by the time I got to the store 15 minutes later.
By the time I was parked and ready to rapid charge from a 50 kW Podpoint, the battery temperature was between 16°C and 18°C and the coolant was now at 37°C.
Charging started with 60% (I had used over 2kWh to do 4 miles as I had defroster, heater, AC and battery heater all on at the same time)
rate at 60% was 44kW and the coolant quickly got to 34°C and the battery was warming up through charging.
By the time I came back to the car 25 minutes later, coolant was at 22°C, battery between 20.5°C and 23.5°C and charged to 83%
Ambient temp by then was 9°C.
By the time I got back, 11 minutes later, the aveage consumption was 3.2 mi/kWh over the 4 miles done with the heater on ECO.
coolant was 20.5°C, battery between 19.5°C and 23°C
