Can you confirm the pull down when using CarPlay is still working?

The half increments removal is maybe to prevent the bong noise each time it hovered between 4 and 3.5, to tell you it might be icy. This would perhaps give it a little more room for manoeuvre in between bong noises

I doubt it, as the bong happens on mine even when the temp gauge shows 4.0 all the time.
But they might still have fixed it anyway

I don't use CarPlay ... but it still works fine with Android Auto.

That’s what mine does at times, and I think it’s because it’s hovering between 4 and 3.5

I suspect they don't (didn't?) have any (or enough) hysteresis on the warning point, hence why it bongs so much.

Agreed. I tried it last night and the pull down menu is disabled whilst AA is active - you need to go to the Home screen first. So this is a downgrade from 1100R33.

It is, however, still possible to adjust the temperature with the star menu while using AA/CP.

I had my 2nd year Service on the 23rd as well, I didnt get the battery SOH and i asked for it but the guy said he ll get back to me. Still waiting. done 14400 and 3 tyres are down to 2mm already

I guess this means 1100R38 is now using the same effective Android base as 1300R59? (1100R33 still allowed the pulldown menu when in AA/CP).

Does this mean it is never going to work again because the Android platform has changed? Or could MG work around this?

Unless Google change their policy I doubt MG will change it, even if Google change it but then Apple add it it'll stay the same as they seem to use the same setup for both

Interestingly, the pulldown worked fine over AA with 1100R33, even though (from memory) 1300R46 for the Trophy (released in a similar time frame) added that "characteristic". So it looks like the base Android for the SE has only caught up (security-wise) with the Trophy roughly a year later.
