My 3rd MG5 service inspection revealed a bent battery lugg, obviously caused by an impact with something on the road. Although I might have done it while reversing on a decorative rock outside someone's garden.
MG said, although it's not affecting anything I should keep my eye on it just in case the battery becomes loose.

Don't see any risk of failure but I'm struggling to see how that damage would occur

Yes it's puzzling me too! There's nothing around it that's damaged.. maybe it was AA who did it when the recovered it??

What necessitated the AA recovery? Was this following your reversing on a decorative rock outside someone's garden?

I would be very surprised, and not a little upset, if any AA Recovery I needed actually resulted in additional damage to my car.

The charge port had a fault and would not charge so it was recovered, fault was a connector which had broken during a previous repair but MG Guilford would not take responsibility for. MG in Stourbridge sorted it out under warranty.
AA recovery do not recognise care when they recover cars also items went missing from vehicle. This MG5 has not been a great car had a few faults hopefully no more issues.
