Beware bogus adverts on forum.

Yes, the internet is full of fakes, scams and general crap, isn’t it. We get lots of emails from relatives and friends with links to many things. It takes just minutes to tell them to stay well clear of this sort of things. If it seems too good to believe, then it really is too good to believe!
 
I’ve not looked at that for a while, how effective is it with YouyTube now?
 
when you get adverts like those, website owners get upset when you block all adverts

but they are annoying, many are scams / full of rubbish, and a good percentage link to sites full of exploit code (faceache is the worst for those)

if i see anything i "might" be interested in in an advert i will google it myself, never ever click on an advert

the only thing with all this is that many websites rely on income from adverts to keep running so it is a perfect storm,

It's lost is effectiveness on YouTube as they seem to embed the ads into the video, or so i read.
I don't mind ads, just not scam or none related ones.

There's several adblockers now that skip the adverts and sponsors within Youtube videos. I use an extension in Firefox called Sponsorblock, but there are others available in Chrome and Edge.
