Whenever I receive a call via Bluetooth I find the call volume is quite low, so I have to crank volume up on the infotainment system to hear the caller. That's not a problem in itself, but when the call ends the radio blasts loud as the volume has been turned up.

Anyone have similar experience and found a way around it?

You have different volume controls for each function, music, sat nav guidance and telephone calls.

Mark, not sure that's the case. Here's the scenario

  • Radio is on and volume is ok
  • phone rings and is answered
  • sound on call is really low so using the infotainment volume dial I turn up volume
  • call finishes and I hang up
  • radio volume now blaring so I have to turn down

Feels like there is one control for volume not separate for each

PS I've had comfort 2 and other updates up to November 2020

I have had the same scenario and someone suggested turning on the adaptive volume as a fix. I've done that but not received a call while driving since, so I can't confirm if it worked. What can I say, no one calls me :cry::cry::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

This is on the phone - there are separate volume setting for calls and media.

Daft question, but when you answer the call, have you tried turning the phone volume up, instead of the media centre volume? Bluetooth volume is controlled from the phone.
Phone volume is full for calls (I did check that first ?)

Well that’s a good start - someone else has the same problem!!! I’ll have a read of what “adaptive volume” does and maybe give it a go.

I had checked the phones volume, it is set as full volume for calls, so thought it must be something with the infotainment system.

However after your prompt I’ve researched a bit more ?. There looks to be a developer feature called “Disable absolute volume” which might help as it gives a separate volume setting for Bluetooth. I’ll give this a go and see if it makes any difference

I have similar issues between the radio and the Android Auto volume.

When I switch to Android Auto I have to crank up the volume.

If I switch back to radio or forget to turn the volume down before getting out the car, next time the radio blasts out at high volume.

It would be nice if they could have different volumes for different sources.

It would also be nice to have a feature I had on my old car. You could set a default volume.
If you cranked up the volume, the next time you got in the car, the audio volume would be reset to your default preset.

So no real answer to the low volume issue, if anyone has one please can you post it as I have same problem, however volume was working fine and then just stopped so now it's so low now hard to hear. even more confusing
