I have never done front pads on a MG ZS but I have a strange feeling that the slide pin retaining bolts will not be a Torx fitting for some reason ?.
Why - Because every other slide pin retainer bolts I have even seen on other makes ( including VAG and Ford etc ) have always had an Allan key type head fixing underneath the plastic weather proof bungs.
2 x 7mm Retaining slide bolts with a Allen head is the most popular size used.
7 mm rarely comes in a set of general purpose Allen keys, which is annoying !.
Maybe that is why they chose it ?.
Removing these will give you access to the pads, but you will probably need to remove the calliper carrying bracket if you want to replace the disc’s.
The calliper piston will need pushing back also.
On the rear the electric handbrake actuator motor IS bolted to the brake calliper with Torx bolts, but I can not remember the size sorry.
