Anybody got any ideas or leada as to how I as the driver can monitor if the brake lights comes on, either initiate by brake pedal movement or regenerative braking?

I don't think they don't
Why?

... They do normally. I'm wondering why you think they don't on your car

It's pretty easy to check. Have a friend follow you and call them on the phone. While they're watching, ask them if the brake lights come on while you brake and/or take your foot off the accelerator in OPD mode.

As already said, I don't think they does not come on.
I simply want to be able to monitor if and when they come on.
I didn't thought I had to stress that I expect no malfunction of my car.
It's a beauty, it's a beast and I couldn't be more happy about my car. Peace 🙏

Reflections in the car behind you, especially at night.

Or get someone to drive behind you with you both on Bluetooth hands free phones, and then they can tell you when the lights come on. 🤷‍♂️

PS - you need about 7% regen before the brake lights come on, so if you have the car in Regen 1 they shouldn't come on as that only gives about 5% regen.

Thx. Good PS info 💪

Dark alley at night, you should be able to discern the increased glow from your brake lights. I like giving my brake lights a quick check whenever I’m parked with the back towards mirrored glass, or a big shop front window or the like, just check the reflection to make sure they’re all in working order. Obvs that wouldn’t really work for regen
