What are the breakdown recovery services like for EV cars? I once had a puncture with my Honda diesel and the AA (Honda provided) were fantastic in getting my tyre changed and me back on my journey. But with the new electronics of EV cars it would be good to know who to go with and who to avoid?

The AA / RAC breakdown offerings in the UK here:

I'm signed up with the AA in Ireland and they have mobile chargers in the breakdown vans.

However, The RAC above advertise this as an exclusive RAC service in the UK (EV Boost Mobile Charging System | Innovation | RAC)

A few insurers also provide ‘run out of juice’ free recovery as part of the policy - worth checking also.

You should have had AA cover as part of buying the car free.
Quick question, do you know if the AA cover transfers to the 2nd owner of the car if it's sold?

EDIT: Found more info here:

I'll check the T&C's, it looks like 'Transportation of livestock' isn't covered :D

Hi
Thats a very worrying statement regarding livestock!
Is a pet dog classed as livestock (in my books it is a family member)
I often take the dogs out in the car (one reason I purchased the MG5 estate)
If I breakdown and the vehicle has to be recovered will they take me and the dogs?

I often have 2 greyhounds in mine so I've just had a look on-line and the short answer is yes they will but they might have to stay in the towed vehicle. Read more here.

When we had to be recovered (after someone smashed into the back of us), the car was pulled onto the recovery truck and we went into the cabin with the driver. Our dog had to remain in our car.

Just wondering, do you need to register your vehicle anywhere i.e. on a website, by phone, etc? for this recovery\assistance?
I have the card in my car but was not explained anything about it.
I have another recovery firm which I transferred to my MG, I am guessing I do not need this other firm then?
