@T1 Terry, it's the battery charger, likely combined with the DC-DC converter (i.e. chargers for the HV and 12V batteries). In other words, this would be the Combined Charging Unit or CCU.
The motor controller is often combined in the same housing as the motor these days. If not, there are always three thick orange cables, often labelled U, V, and W, going to the motor. That can be used to decide who is right.
Myself, I tend to believe that it's the CCU, even though it looks different, see below. That may be because one is a 7kW On-Board Charger, and the other an 11kW OBC. Both the motor controller and CCU will have orange (HV) cables, but the motor controller handles higher current, so it will generally have thicker cables.
Edit: If the connector on the left heads directly to the charge port, that would confirm the unit as the CCU (OBC).
