Hi all, recently picked up a mg4 Se lr. I also have a Tesla model 3. The cabin overheat is a great feature and wondering if this is available in the mg4?

Parked the mg4 outside in the sun and wow it was hot in there when I got back to it a few hours later.

Thanks.

There's no automatic heating/cooling in the MG4, but you can set it going remotely via the iSmart app. e.g. 10-15 minutes before you need to go to the car, use the app to set it heating/cooling as needed.

Yeah the heating/cooling will only run for 10 minutes, and in my experience there is a limit to how often you can run it. I’ve once gotten a response from the app along the lines of “you’ve given too many remote instructions, you need to unlock the car with the key” assuming that is some sort of safety feature.

You can only do it twice before you get the negative response.
I wonder if there is a time out as well, I think I once did it around mid day on a very hot day, and then about three hours later before going home I did it again, and I think the car may have allowed me to do it twice in a row then (getting caught up talking with someone on my way to the car). But I wouldn’t put any money on that to be honest.

I wish it had global opening and closing of the windows like SWMBO's MG5 does. :(
