My wife and I have signed up for this and have the key tag things on our key ring. Anyone actually know what happens if you have need to call them and if it’s worth it?

They may receive a kickback but that hardly makes it a scam. It's not quite Nigerian Prince is it ?The same scam setup mentioned earlier.
It's common to see them referred by otherwise reputable companies because they receive a kickback.
This is not altruism, there is serious money being made.
ISTR when shopping for my car insurance renewal over the summer, a fair few comments & reviews suggesting they were rather reluctant to actually pay out & are/were introducing gotcha Ts & Cs to frustrate the process.... And I suppose that singing man at GoCompare who pay up to £250 of your excess are also running a scam too. ?![]()
