Car arrived reverse question

Just had my mg4 trophy come

Question when in reverse as soon as take foot off brake it starts moving.

Is their anyway to stop this I had auto hold on which worked for front but not rear.

The User Guide states clearly that auto hold does not work in reverse.

Thanks for confirming just have to get used to it rather than clutch of a worn out bmw

You can use the parking brake, but then have to use the footbrake before you can turn it off.It will not move off and disengage like it does in drive.
Its easier to keep your foot on the brake pedal until you want to move.

I don't have it but surely OPD means the car will not move in drive or reverse until the accelerator is pressed? I assume you have the later Trophy version. (One with rear wiper and OPD.) Note you have to select OPD every time you start the car, as far as I know.

Yea later version trophy I had OPD on which works as you thought in drive combined with told but based on replies looks like this does not work for reverse

Hill start assist works in reverse (and on the flat), press the brake pedal firmly then when you let go it should hold for 2 seconds.
