Has anyone attempted to get a wireless dongle for CarPlay? I bought a sunweyer one it arrived today and I’ve had no joy can’t even get it connected anyone else having issues?

Maybe search the MG4 board on this topic? (I suspect the interface in the MG3+ is the same as the one in the MG4).

I’ve been using this one from about the middle of May.
Annoyingly for me it’s now come down in price since I bought mine!!

It’s mostly reliable, although you have to disconnect the MG Bluetooth, otherwise the car and device can get confused.
Very occasionally, which is the case with all these devices, it doesn’t load, so you just unplug and plug it back in and then it’s fine.
One other benefit, and again this probably applies to all of them. As you can see in the picture it has a USB to USB C plug. I use this plug with an iPhone lightning lead, and if my phone's battery is low (usually the case as my iPhone 12 is something like four years old and is still on the original battery!), you can charge your phone using the adjacent USB C socket, whilst the adaptor stays plugged in.

Watch the you tube video from Bozu Garage on a wireless device which as a delay to get it to wait before trying to connect. I have one and yes it does work, but again waiting for 20 seconds is what appears to be the simplest of methods to make such devices work in my MG4.
