Mine came with both but they weren't certain it would until it did. I think the best way to find out is to ask them. With MG there appear to be no hard and fast rules .... with anything ?

Mine came with the 3-pin (granny) cable. However some of the early cars were supplied with Type 2 cables because they didn't have sufficient parts stock to supply the granny cables.

Lease cars tend to come with both.

PS - I'm talking about the MG4 here ... your profile (nor your post) says what model you're meaning.

Unless it's changed they used to come as standard as you described, granny charger supplied but no type 2.
If you bought with MG Affinity they came with both.

I bought mine from Arnold Clark November 2023, they tried to palm me off with the Granny lead, telling me that's the standard issue. I told them I was expecting a type two lead and they said I'd have to purchase one. I told them I wanted one supplied free or I would be cancelling the deal. 10 minutes later the salesman came out with one. Result!

Take this up with your dealer as all Motability MG's should come with a type 2 cable as there is an agreement with MG and Motability to do this
