So we got our new car today. Great service from Sandicliffs Nottingham but will have to go back tomorrow as they gave us the wrong charging lead as we required the granny lead and there was no compressor in the puncture repair kit. But apart from that the car was faultless what’s more it didn’t cause any surprising movement braking on the way home it was better than we expected. Very easy to drive, Linda (the wife) normally very critical loves driving it. I don’t know whether that good or bad 😎

Congrats on the new car Dave, they usually come with the granny lead, but I'm sure Sandicliffs will swap it for you. Alternatively, if you intend to get a home charger, just keep the lead you've got, and buy a granny lead, then you have all bases covered.

Went back to the dealership today they informed me that since January MG no longer provides charging cables and the couldn’t even sell me one as they are out of stock and they would have to order one at a cost of £225+ . So ordered one off Amazon £135 . The car is faultless and so I’ll forget about the lead and enjoy.

Glad your enjoying your new motor, Dave.
But MG not supplying at least one or the other charging cable, is a bit naughty imo.
But it is, what it is. As they say. 🙂👍

I didn't get any leads with mine. Can't be bothered complaining about it though, for me it's not worth the nearly 100 mile round trip to the dealer I bought it from. I did what you did and just bought one from Amazon. Bought two actually, one for the car and one to leave hanging up in the garage where the charger is, that I just pull out when needed.

I have 2 as well, a Type 2 and a Granny lead, both in nice MG bags.
