The car has stopped charging at anything above 3kw. I've been to numerous type2 chargers where I was consistenly getting ~7kw previously and now it's only 2.7kw.

These are single points, not shared with other cars. I've tried some things like reducing to 8A and back to max but no difference.

Any suggestions would be welcome, as I'm really starting to hate this experience.

It's a 5 month car. If it was the cable's fault it wouldn't fast charge, but it does.
This is software related 100%.

Fast = 7-22kW AC charging
Rapid = 50kW+ DC charging
Ultra Rapid = 100kW+ DC charging

When EVs first came out, 7kW was fast, so they added new terms rather than redefine. :)

@jammamon have you tried a tethered 7kW+ AC charger rather than using your own cable?

A friend or colleague with a tethered type 2 wall box you can try? (I know this might be difficult in a place like Athens where off-street parking at properties may be at a premium.)

I don't have anyone. Guess I'll have to call MG after all. Maybe i'll get them to upgrade the software too while they're at it.

On the infotainment, tap the section that has the charging info (the one that permanently says "plug in the charging cable", or similar). At the bottom is a drop-down box that can have various options (3A, 8A, 16A, etc) selected.

Set this to "AC Current". Try again.
