I’ve had my MG ZS EV since March and never had a problem with charging using my Rolec Wallpod. However over the last couple of weeks I’m having repeated issues with the charging stopping after only a few percent.

I’m having to open the app every 10 minutes to kick off the charge again only for it to stop. I used to have the wallpod set to smart charge overnight but as the car stops charging I basically now have to baby sit.

Is there anything I can check to see what’s going on?

You could help yourself by telling us the age, (& if not apparent) mk1 or mk2 ZS EV you are having issues with?

How old in the Rolec, is it a dumb unit one of the smart units ?.
As it's a Rolec unit, can I ask if the breaker has been tripping in the wall box ?.
Rolec units have a high failure rate on their own branded RCBO's breakers.
I would strongly suggest that you have your RCBO breaker in the wall box checked !.
If it is starting to fail, then this MAYBE the course of your problem.
I have one of the older Rolec dumb chargers and the Rolec branded RCBO's are weak point.
After replacing two of the Rolec branded breakers ( under the warranty ) I have now given up using these and replaced it with a much better quality "Garo" unit.
How does the car behave when charging from a type 2 public post or even on your "Granny" lead.
A process of elimination.

Check if there's a charging schedule set on the car.

It’s a “smart” unit. Granny charging is fine.

Do you have any problems charging elsewhere?

Tethered or untethered? You need to eliminate the lead and the charge point. If untethered take your car and the lead to a public charge point and see if it works there - Tesco are free! ?
If tethered find another owner and offer them a free charge and see if it works for them. Ideally a car less sensitive than an MG.

Process of elimination I think ?.

I am having a similar problem with my LR TC which I picked up on Friday. My Gen 1 ZS worked fine I did however have the trickle charge enabled by CS prior to having the option in the EV Energy app. The majority of the time the app doesn't see the car but on the car side it connected but not charging. It has worked to charge when it has seen the car (3 times) but on the whole the app doesn't seem to see the car. I have raised a question with EV energy app and will let you know any finding.

To add I have the Solar (Beta) enabled it seems to bounce around a little. The car is actually pulling power - screen shots attached.

See if it charges on my Go tariff tonight?!?

What do you mean by "see the car"? It shows the car as connected which is presumably all that it did with your Mk1. In terms of the solar I presume that you haven't a minimum level of charge set?

Inside the car it can see it is connected but this is what I see via the app.

Do you have any earthing issues, as that charger and car should monitor the presence of an earth connection and if it's broken down or is poor will stop charging.

OP, please keep us informed on how things go. I for one, has the new Gen2 ZS LR and a Rolec 'smart' charger. but zero issues so far, after setting up for the new car.

Have you reconnected the car? The times on the screenshots don't match your described order. Clearly there's a conflict between what the car is saying and the charge point.
In principle I'd expect the charge point to have suspended charging at this time as I'd not expect you to be making sufficient from solar. The "smart" elements are likely to delay the charge until early tomorrow morning either for a cheaper tariff or lower carbon impact depending on your setting.
Let us know what happens overnight.

Info from last night I put it on charge at 2100hrs ish - car not seen from the EV Energy app side, car side connected. Looked at the app 30 minutes or so later and the grey screen had changed to green saying smart charge scheduled - looking at the MG app it was taking a trickle charge then at 0030hrs it did ramp up but only to around 3kw and it tailed off at 0400hrs. So it is working but not pulling max during the go window.
