It'll be nice to update the order tracker with some fulfilled orders finally - but that's a job for tonight.

Bit of a shame they didn't fully charge it for you, I guess they'll be doing the same for me.

Did yours come with a Type2 charging cable and or mats? I made that a requirement of ordering through them, as other dealers locally were offering that. I kind of got a "Yeah, okay", but I didn't see anyone write anything down

They know I'm not going to refuse the car because of that, so there's no real incentive for them to honour it.

It was because it was in the workshop overnight because of updates and their chargers are all round the side out front.

No mats and I already had a type two from my previous phev so wouldn't have asked for it anyway. Besides I'm more a fan of the total coverage mats than the crappy dealer provided ones lol. But yeah really enjoying the car ?

That's quite a nice cover actually.

So my day 1 update.

Binding the car to the app was a piece of cake, didn't experience any of the issues that others have reported.

Auto hold release is so seamless I havent noticed it.

I cant hear the pedestrian warning sou d from inside the car, even if I have the window down, I can barely hear it when I drive past a wall or similar.

Amazon music (through android auto) doesn't always resume after taking a call and sometimes if I plug my phone in before the car is "ready" it won't play audio properly with android auto.

I havent needed to rapid charge it yet so fingers crossed for when I do.

The overall quality of this car feels so much better than others I test drove and it seems that MG have addressed most of the niggles from early versions of the car as it drives, manoeuvres so flawlessly it could easily fool me into thinking im in a 50k+ car.

Overall, I know its only been 1 day, but I am so impressed and currently very happy I held out.

Totally agree with your statement, I've only had mine one day but love how easy it is to drive and feels high quality. Only gripe I have is I have tried to register on MG ISmart about 20 times , mobile number and email and fails to connect to server, I will persevere but so impressed with car, never tried charging yet.

Collected the car and drives very well, so smooth and comfy. I really love it! But had a few niggles with both dealer and the car:

When inspecting the car there’s a white mark on the front bumper which I cannot get rid off, I show it to the salesman and was apologetic, he hurridly drove it off to the service area and had a quick buff. The mark was gone but they should have checked this before handing over the car.
Silly me I did not checked the bonnet while still there due to joy & excitement, upon reaching home and checked the bonet, the electric engine bay was so dusty! (photo attached) as if the car was neglected and stocked for a long period of time. I don’t even know if the proper PDI has been carried out considering the status of the cleanliness of the car. I am so disappointed we spent a lot of money for it and I expect a clean brand new car inside and out to the their highest standard before handing over to us but right from the start I already noticed some marks, although rectified, that should have done before we collect it.
I would like to go back to the dealer but had no time. I just clean it myself and email the dealer about it. So guys, please check your beloved car throughly inside and out and if you spot something like unusual marks or scratch, tell them straight away.

As for the car, while driving along dartford crossing, the blind spot detection on both side mirrors are lit all the times even no cars passing until we reached home, it’s quite annoying especially at night. I even noticed the central locking button on the driver’s side, the small led indicator is blinking which I know should be steady when all doors are locked.
Anyone experience both above? I remember there is a thread with regards to blind spot detection issue. I hope this is only a one time glitch and will check again.

So far I really love and enjoying the car and hoping to keep it for many years.

Hi, sorry to hear your poor experience collecting your new car.
Did it have a cover under the bonnet?
One thing people have mentioned that has been missed on the PDI is the door drain holes having bungs in them that should be removed. Worth a look.
Hopefully the rest of your ownership will be trouble free.

So I am collecting my new ZS EV. What software updates do I need to ensure have been applied so that I dont get bricked at the first rapid charger.

Also is there anything that I should know in advance of picking it up other than enjoy it ?

Out of interest did you get a SR or LR?

There is no cover under the bonnet that’s why it got so dusty.. or maybe no cover at all coming from china.
I checked the door drain holes there are two, one has like a sticky tape on it and the other has been removed.

yeah this is a long range Trophy. I think it was a cancelled order at my dealership because I originally ordered a black one and that wasn't scheduled to arrive until August... Got this white one offered to me and snapped it up

I am waiting on the allusive TLR Connect. I was offered a black ex demo (1k miles) but they wanted £3k more for it than my current agreement for my new one so had to turn it down.
