I've never used auto lights on any of my cars - they never work fast enough and at the right time.

That was my philosopy too, until my wife bought an MG HS PHEV with what appears to be the same light set as the ZS EV. The auto lights on that are quite excellent both in penetration and spread of beam, and also in response to other vehicles whether they be approaching or driving away. They are much more competent than I am, so I am very happy to use them on the HS. If the ZS are as good as the HS then I will use the auto beam on that too.

Yeah my very limited test of the autolight function is also positive.

Just need to have it turn on the lights, in "bad weather" (Rain) automatically, and it will be perfect.

But i agree with TheArcher, that autolight is not always implemented very well. My previous car did the "Rain = Light" thing, but would sometimes be really retarded and not switch to DRL, even when the sun was right in it's "face"..

We've come across two issues since purchase: (MG ZS EV 2022)

1. Sometimes the climate control "module" doesn't load at startup, so the infotainment screen only shows the home cluster in the middle, but no climate control switch on the right. Turn the car off and on, it's back. I've also heard holding the physical home button for 10 seconds can reboot the infotainment system, but haven't tried this yet.

2. Vehicle Control System Fault: Plugged the car into a Genie rapid charger, using CCS. The charge only lasted a second and the car then displayed the Control System fault and wouldn't move. Tried disconnecting the 12v battery -ve terminal but it wouldn't clear, had to call the AA out who did a generic fault code reset via the OBD port next to the steering wheel. Worked fine after that, but have to be wary of faulty rapid chargers. I use Bonnet and Zap-Map, often quite a few comments left that can often help gauge if the charger is in good shape or not.

Ok. That's good to know. There are some theories that leaving the car on may be causing problems. Glad AA could fix it, as others haven't been so lucky and have had to be towed to dealers for them to clear codes.

Err...
But I believe it's switching to READY (foot on brake) as opposed to ON (foot not on brake, either ot the two "positions") that is the problem.

Edit: and of course, in the ON position, when charging (AC or DC), you have all the advantages of READY mode, except being able to move. So you can have heating or air conditioning, radio, music, watch a movie, charge your phone, etc etc all without depleting your auxiliary battery.

since I got my trophy connect in november 21, the radio stops working dab and fm, but music works. It happens irregularly, to fix have to turn off car for about a hr.
MG have finally agreed to swap radio module after 5mths, but now no one knows from MG if the trophy radio module is the same as the connect. So its back to waiting.
Also when switching on its always 1st Jan 2019.

Glad I ordered the OCD special then as having those the wrong way round would drive me insane too haha although... I think the wait for delivery is driving me equally mad lmao ?
