I have noticed that each time I drive my MG3 Hybrid, and Park it in my garage, that there is a puddle of water that appears under the front edge of the rear muffler. Crawling under the car with an inspection camera I can see the water dripping from the front seam of the muffler (there is no drain hole, it is coming from the roller seam). It seems to me that this is going to be a problem eventually as the muffler may rust out and need replacement. Now my driving is mostly local, and alot of it is in EV mode, perhaps the engine is not heating up the exhaust system enough to evaporate any condensation, and maybe longer trips would do just that. I would be interested in hearing from other owners regarding this muffler issue.

This is not normal AC condenser drain, I am not stupid. The AC condenser is at the front of the car, under the dash. This water is coming out of the seam in the muffler, consistent with moisture in the tailpipe. And the AC has not been used when this is happening. The muffler seam is already showing a rust line.

One final thing, I have found a muffler drain hole at the bottom of the rear face of the muffler. So a simple solution is to just leave it parked on my upward sloping driveway and the condensate will drain out the back. Putting it away in the garage later would be done on EV, thus no more condensation.
