From my experience (6 months and 7000 miles) with my '2025' MG HS Trophy PHEV, yes I've had a couple of issues but I have no complaints about the car overall, the build quality, finish, performance, handling or ride.
Generally, people shout about faults and problems but rarely do they just post praise. FB is exceptionally bad with about 50% being trolls - one reason for coming to 'proper' forums such as this one.
My issues were the front windscreen wipers failing at 200 miles, the car would not charge from the mains (it did via the car's own hybrid system) and an inability to recognise road speed limits (which also affects the cruise control operation).
The supplying dealer fixed the first two issues (new wiper motor and a loose pin in the charging socket, apparently). The road sign/cruise control problem is being looked at next week by a new, more local to me, dealer and appears from what others have reported, to be a software issue. I still suspect the car does receive OTA updates as the system was fine one day and dead the next.
Obviously, it's a pain when things go wrong but in the modern world of cars, gremlins have not been eradicated. A friend of mine rejected his brand new Mercedes A35 AMG after 150 miles when the water pump failed and the dealer screwed up the fitting of a new pump. My previous car, a Skoda Superb Sportline iV (PHEV) was a real pain trying to connect to an iPhone and serious 'infotainment' nav gremlins until it had a software update.
