Croxdale MG - MG Dealer Discussion, Opinions & Experiences

I'm surprised there's no feedback as yet for this dealer, so I'll start things off (all good btw)...
Contacted them mid November (2024) looking for a new MG4, and they had some great prices, like a few thousand cheaper than local dealers. spoke with a great guy called Richie, gave me all the info I needed, and when I'd decided the ideal model/spec/colour, which was not in stock (Trophy ER in Camden Grey) he found one for me quickly, with no increase from quoted price.
Comms were spot on, kept me informed and the collection/handover was first rate. Even threw in a type 2 cable as well as the included granny cable.
Although near 150 miles away from me, I'm seriously considering going there for annual services, which is why I was hoping there was some feedback on here.
Highly recommended for purchasing from anyway...

My experience is similar to HiFi Daves. I haven't picked the car up (waiting for 25 plate), but car is ordered. Richie was the salesman, very helpful and also is giving me a type 2 cable. Their prices are second to none and I am very much looking forward to picking it up. Thoroughly recommend.

Hi,
Mine was, but I was advised of that from the initial conversation. They may want to hold the V5C in their name for a couple of months before transferring?

To me, that's a well dodgy, outdated practice!

The sort of thing that dealers used to do at the end of the month to get a few extra sales over the line to hit a manufacturer's target.

I know the pre-reg bit may strictly be legal, but with-holding the logbook?

How does that even work?

This Post in thread 'Dealer Wants to Remain Registered Keeper for a Few Months' gives an explanation Dealer Wants to Remain Registered Keeper for a Few Months

I assumed it was because they were ordering demonstrators at a big discount and were not allowed to sell until, say 3 months old, hence the holding back the V5C.
Just remember to chase it up and get it changed over by mid March at the latest so you can tax it free for 12 months, as tax will be chargeable (near £200 I believe) from 1st April.
...only possible problem is if the dealer becomes insolvent (hassle explaining to DVLA) or if you get so p*ssed off with problems/faults within the first 3 months and decide to sell/trade it in.
