Back in the year 1966, Greek shipping tycoon Yiannis Goulandris, sponsored the design of a mini electric car for a competition sponsored by the United Kingdom Electricity Council for a promotional vehicle and won.
This gave birth to one of the earliest EV (at least in the contemporary meaning) that went into production, dates back to the late 1960's - electric cars were competitors to thermal cars back in the late 19th century and early 1900's, during motor vehicle innovation.

Production of the Enfield 8000 was first the isle of Wight, but was moved to the shipyards on Syros, a Greek island in the Aegean, where most were produced.

Does anyone recognize which Hilton this is?

The design in profile is still one of the best of electric EV's , in my opinion, photo at Syros island
Designer was Constantine Adrakchtas

Here in two versions! standard in the back and cabriolet, front. Both cars at the runway of "home" port of another Greek tycoon, Onassis, and an aircraft of his Olympic Airlines.
Note the flight-stewards fashion! Onassis wanted the vehicles for personnel

Is it me or does it have more ground clearance than that jet engine?
